The drama in the villa is hotting up as Love Island Winter season 9 continues, with the coveted £50,000 ($60,550) prize still in view for the remaining hopefuls.

Along with a new HQ on the Ludus Magnus estate in South Africa, the OG version of this now-international show has also seen model-turned-TV presenter Maya Jama take over from Laura Whitmore as host.

Contestants that have entered the villa in Franschhoek “millionaire’s row” include the show’s first participant who has blindness in one eye, a semi-professional soccer player, a biomedical student and a farmer.

The latest run of the romantic reality phenomenon has seen heated bust-ups between contestants Ron Hall and Shaq Muhammad, tense recoupling ceremonies and tearful shock evictions.

Now set to run until early March in the UK and late March in the US, don’t miss all the remaining steamy drama by following our guide to watching Winter Love Island 2023 from anywhere in the world.

When does Winter Love Island 2023 start?

It depends on where you live.

In the UK, season 9 of Love Island (UK) started Monday, Jan. 16. The series is set to run for eight weeks, with new episodes broadcast every day at 9 p.m. UK time. (That’s 1 p.m. PT and 4 p.m. ET in the US and 8 a.m. AEDT the next day in Australia.) Saturday night’s episodes will feature “unseen bits” from the week’s action.

Outside the UK, it’s also available in Australia on Channel 9’s on-demand service, 9Now.

The wait is now over for US viewers, as the new season debuted on Hulu on Jan. 30, two weeks after it began airing in the UK.

Tips for streaming the Winter Love Island 2023 using a VPN

  • With four variables at play — your ISP, browser, video streaming provider and VPN — experience and success may vary.
  • If you don’t see your desired location as a default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
  • If you’re having trouble viewing after you’ve turned on your VPN and set it to the correct viewing area, there are two things you can try for a quick fix. First, log in to your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is an address in the correct viewing area. If not, you may need to change the physical address on file with your account. Second, some smart TVs — like Roku — don’t have VPN apps you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll have to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you’re using (like your phone) so that any device on its Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
  • All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases with smart TV services, after you install a network’s app, you’ll be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your email address on file for your smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help, since both devices will appear to be in the correct location.
  • And remember, browsers can often give away a location despite using a VPN, so be sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.
